CPCR renovated an empty house next to the head office at Bangkokyai District to serve as a space for everyone in the community. Baan Paplearn is an outside classroom learning space for children, families, and everyone in the community. It will serve as:
- A space to promote child and family development programs
- A classroom for parents to learn parenting techniques
- A center to advocate for childhood development
- A meeting place for the CPCR Child Guard (CPCR volunteers).
On March 11, 2017, Baan Paplearn officially opened its doors to the community. The CPCR staff and volunteers welcomed children and parents to join the first child and family development program hosted there.
Around 10am, a mother and her daughter were the first group to visit Baan Paplearn. CPCR and Child Guard team members were thrilled to get started with the program. Now, there are many children and families coming in to Baan Paplearn to apply for the program.
By 1pm, there were over 20 children participating in the program at Baan Paplearn. CPCR team members and Child Guards led an orientation, introducing who we are and what we do. Everyone got to know each other.
CPCR team members introduced the children to activities like DIY notebook making. CPCR wants children to have fun and develop their cognitive thinking through art programs. After finishing the workshop, children shared their feedback with CPCR. They really enjoyed the activities and learned a lot.
Baan Paplearn is open to the public on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month from 1-3:30 pm. If you would like your children to participate in the CPCR activities, please come and join us. You can also contribute to CPCR programs through donation. Please contact our foundation for more information.
